Mike Koch.
A stand up guy.
With many admirable qualities. One of which is his devotion to a number of enjoyable hobbies. He builds hand-crafted pieces of art which double as furniture. He knows how to sail. He grows his own basil to make homemade pesto (obviously). He has a John Deere tractor and knows how to use it to till and manipulate the earth. He owns every Apple product known to man, and is very computery-technical. He golfs. He is a beer connoisseur (he's German). He also is a grill master, of sorts. Naturally, in addition to all this he is obsessed with very hot peppers, grows them in his garden, and has become an expert on the peppers of the world and differing degrees of hotness.
For instance, Mike had to say of the Bhut Jolokia (the hottest pepper in the world, from India):
"I find that when they're in your mouth, it feels like a bunch of little nails are shooting into your tongue, but it goes away pretty quick."
People. He was SERIOUS!
I mentioned that Mike likes to grill. He is always discovering new products to experiment with on the grill, etc. The most recent product is called "Butt Rub." I find this very funny.
I mentioned to Mike, when he declared a desire to take his spicy peppers and manufacture some sort of grill product, that he could market this as "Bhut Rub."
OK, I like a good pun.
Which is why I must highlight Chris's comment, stated after I told Mike I was putting this Bhut Jolokia business on my blog. "Your blog must've needed a little spicing up." Zing!

Both you & Chris deserve smacks for those terrible jokes that I did laugh at. I will second that Mike Koch is stand up guy.
Awe Spooner.....what do I owe you? :)
Erin ~ quit using those fancy french words like "connoisseur" to make up for calling me a "corner sewer" that night! I'm over it already. Really!
