Feast your eyes on this guy.
When Jon Horne plays Scrabble, if he doesn't have an obvious word, he strings together letters that sound like they could be words and hopes they're in the dictionary. See a list of his attempts below.
zend
trone
weltybiten
limen
hoynovae (ap, vo)
He got lucky with the following three attempts. I either rolled my eyes, gaped incredulously or laughed hysterically when these beauties popped up via Webster online.
thar: "any of several old world wild goats"
sord: "a flying flock of mallards"
pano: "a family of South American Indian languages spoken in Peru, Bolivia, and western Brazil"
Oy vey. I'm actually about to hop into our Pogo website Room 116, Table 36 for another Scrabble game, as Jon Horne has reserved it and keeps asking when I'll be ready to join him. Love it.
(See below for highlights from last Saturday's Scrabble Battle)

"just" = 57 point word (top right corner) what can I say? I just happened to be at the right place at the right time.

3:27pm
Jon Horne, while finishing up his lunch of chicken noodle soup chicken noodle soup chicken noodle soup, no soda on the side: "Do you wanna play another game of Scrabble?"
Erin: "Do you want to do that or watch The American?"
Jon: "Scrabble. I wanna beat you."
Erin: "True, we are tied at one game a piece."------------------------------
Erin: "Hey Jon you wanna put on Steve Winwood?" (Referencing our favorite Pandora station)
Jon: "HA. You really wanna?"
Erin: "Yeah, and that way when we get started on our next game of Scrabble you'll be back in the high life again."
--------------------
Jon got really ticked when I challenged his word, "folked" and then the two words that pushed jdhvb to victory were "jail" (triple word score) and "gangsta" (because I did not challenge the word)
Jon Horne doesn't challenge my words as a general rule and is hurt when I challenge his, "I can't believe you would do that to me," he says. "I would never do that to you." I reply, "That's your own fault. I am not taking responsibility for the fact that you choose not to challenge my words. I can take the heat. Bring it."
