The Amalfi Coast? Yes, please, give me some more of that.

Sorrento, Capri, Anacapri, Amalfi, Atrani, Ravello

So I spent the weekend in Capri (Where I saw the Blue Grottoe - snuggled down in the bottom of a little row boat with Bruce, the enjoyable Australian onder, while his wife, Shirley, watched our bags in the big boat. Bruce said: "It sure is a shame I am not 40 years younger." Ha.)

Below you see the dramatic shot during the ferry ride from Sorrento to Capri. I am so deep, obviously.

More Capri. I feel I am improving on the self portrait.

Sigh. Amalfi. I met Eleanor (VERY Comical beginning to our friendship) in the pit-hole Hostel in Sorrento. She is English. I think she is my travelling kindred. We had sooooo much fun together and we skipped out on the Hostel for a night - and grabbed a super little hotel room in Amalfi for a night. What a good move. We had to fight off sweet-talking Andreà and Marco during dinner, who told us they would like to take us on their boats for a private tour of the Emerald grottoe. Sure they were enjoyable, but Andreà - wishful thinking buddy - you are like like a million years old.

Eleanor with the cambio rice cakes. (not Sarah Straka Moan, although Eleanor may be her British twin)

Fiat! Love these cute little cars.

"Hey there, yellow scooter. You are cute."

The last supper in Sorrento with Eleanor before I was off to Rome sans travelling kindred.

Shout Outs from my time in the Amalfi Coast:
1. The bus driver from Amalfi back to Sorrento. Yowza, what a fox. I am sorry I declined your invitation for drinks and dinner, but I HAD to meet up with Bruce and Shirley.
2. The word "cambio"
3. Ranting Argentinians in the morning
4. Eleanor the Neuro Scientist and her PhD
5. Busch Gardens Williamsburg, who so far as I can tell, really have done a fine job in their Italy portion of the Old Country.

Hello sweet friend. I've loved catching up on your life...what a life! The first teen mom I met in Fredericksburg was named Ana Capri, betcha can't guess where her mom was from. I was always a little jealous of her name. Can't wait to read more. Love you!!

PS- how much longer will you be in Italia? My in-laws just flew in to Rome yesterday & at some point will be heading to the Amalfi coast as well! Just shout-out "Hi Jim!" or "Hi Debbie!" randomly & who knows?
