Very good Gelato this day. Favorite flavor so far: Bacio.
OK so Florence. The David seriously cast me under his spell. I am no art fanatic, but from the moment I laid eyes on him, I was hooked. I gaped and stared. Wow. I hated to leave him - and he looked as if he was just going to step down off his pedastool and go on his merry way. Really, The David alone was worth the trip to Florence.
And now the Brothers Gustapanino! Listen ladies, hightail it over to Italy where the men are more than affirming always telling you that you are beautiful and geez they give you free stuff all the time!
Pasquale! (Free wine and pizza at his Pizza Place!)
The pizza place, Gusta Pizza, just so happens to be across the street from JMU in Florence. GO Dukes! Random - JMU was just around the corner from my apartment in Florence.
Pasquale has a brother, Francesco! (More free stuff! I really like Francesco and was kind of holding out for a ride on his scooter, but got tired and went home. Lame, I know. But it was really late!)

Overall Florence was a 4 day whirlwind. Nancy showed me the best the city had to offer, starting with an Italian cooking class last Tuesday night. Please let the photograph below serve as a reminder not to get caught in the foreground during the photo-taking process, for obvious ginormous reasons. New lesson learned as well, if you have no way out, and the foreground is just going to happen, for gods sake do not wear a shiny shirt.
This is Roberto! He called me Wonder Woman supposedly because of my large gold bangle bracelet, but I think it is because I look like I could possibly jump real high.
This picture was taken during an absolutely lovely lunch at Cafe Za Za.
I am always trying to take cool photographs.... See below. Not sure this one qualifies, but hey - here's hoping.
OK, I really loved this couple! I sneakily took several pictures of them. I also really like the fact that they are leaning up against a church while being all snuggly.
OK, these guys were awesome. I took this bigger picture, and then zoomed in for a closer look.
Overall Florence was a total check plus. Next I went to Lucca for a relaxing couple of days. (See next post)
