This is so great!
It seems I have come a long way since the days on Foundry Road grumbling at 10+pm while trudging up the Clegg's driveway with my laptop, gym bag, and various other YL junk in tow. The cumbersome and often slippery 5 minute journey to the house in the freezing cold, snow-covered Western Loudoun countryside is not one of my favorite past times. After leaving my little Honda at the bottom of the gravel drive and sliding it into one of the readily available snowbanks along the dirt road... many careful steps uphill. To be fair, however, I must remark that snow-covered Western Loudoun is sooooo beautiful and some of the BEST night-walks of my life have taken place on Clegg and Koch property well after midnight involving full moons and horses and fun pups and an old ipod mini (remember those?) in that whimsical, Loudoun-Narnian world. Those memories do qualify as some of my favorite past times.
After mixed feelings towards snow developed during my five year stint in northern VA, today, my VB childhood affection for snow has officially returned! (Mostly because I know it will melt within the week.) And also because of fun times for the Hatcher siblings.
