1. Today I did one of my favorite things. The day was bright and blue and clear and a small taste of spring and I rolled my windows down in the car (literally - I have manual windows - I am not ashamed) and the fresh air was so great! Exhilarating! And also I blasted the heat because it was so cold. Duh people, it's February. I love doing that - windows down and heat on setting "4."
2. This afternoon Bryan and I met at the pool for my swim lesson/training/whatever. Seeing as how I am a forgetful person, Bryan intelligently reminded me at lunch to bring my swim cap and goggles. "Oh! Right." I said. I was very intent on not disappointing Bryan and made every effort to remember my cap and goggles when packing my gym bag. I was proud of myself for accomplishing this small task. It wasn't until I got to the locker room that I realized that it never dawned on me at home to remember to bring my towel. ! Seriously? (Normally this would not have been a problem because I always keep beach towels in the trunk of my car - except that a pipe burst in my room a few weeks back and all towels were frantically called to duty in the house.) When I told Bryan about my major swimming omission, of course he was very kind and concerned; he asked what I was going to do to dry off. "Well, I have a t-shirt in my gym bag," I reasoned. So a few minutes after my swim as I was in the locker room, some strange girl comes in and says, "Are you Erin?" I timidly answered, "Yes?" She threw a towel over the shower curtain and goes, "Some guy out there told me to bring this to you." Bryan! What a sweetie. (Next I left the pool and went for a run, which was my plan all along. And of course I forgot socks. Socks! I ran without socks. Now I have a blister. Naturally. Oy vey....)
Things like this remind me that I like my little life. :)
